Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
